Macbook pro m3

@yall Macbook Pro M1 is hands down the best price / value for the money.
-
Confirmed, got an M3 pro, might not be the best move of my life. Incredibly powerful for sure, but the pref for money compared to M1 is lower...

@ustk I bought it yesterday for €2029 16GB RAM, 1T SSD. I just compiled a hise demo project. build in 2 minutes compared to 1 hour with my old mac. However, I can't find my files. vst3 and .components. !! they are not in the user library or mac library. an idea?
-
@yall check the binaries folder
-
@d-healey in the binary project folder. I only have a debug folder. really weird
-
@yall Are you using the develop branch? (You should be if you are using Sonoma)
-
@d-healey .Yes exactly. and hise compiled well. On my old Mac, I used to go and retrieve the components and vst3 files from the library. but the same when launching a .vst3 search I find nothing
-
@yall Yeah new version uses the binaries folder instead
-
@d-healey I just compiled an example of Christoph Hart basic synth. compiled successfully but the files are still not found. I tried to compile "build for testing, profiling too". always nothing . I use the latest version of xcode but that is not the problem because hise compiled correctly. I go through the autogenerate file of the project because the compilation from hise tells me that projucer is not checked and suggests that I put the projucer file in the trash.
-
@d-healey I just uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything works ' the vst3 and components are moved to the build project folder. when I downloaded hise, the projucer did not open because it was not verified. I downloaded juce directly from the site. I managed to open the juice of the hise dev folder. and everything works. and the compilation goes very very quickly :)
