control.timer Channel mismatch. How does this thing work?

Does anyone know how to use the SNEX timer?
The current documentation seems unfinished.
https://docs.hise.audio/scriptnode/list/control/timer.htmlI'm trying to create a custom script that changes the Interval time based on the modulation of the Active knob, but I can't even get the basics to work due to a Channel mismatch. I'm pretty sure my dsp network has 2 channels.
