Combobox & Userpreset

Quick question, the preset saves the ID of the combo box that lists all the sample maps. However, as soon as I add a new sample map, it shifts all the preset values, and the wrong sample map is loaded. Is there a way to save a string value in the preset instead of a float value? Thank you
