Note release?
-
@yall Which DAW are you using? Have you tried a different DAW?
-
@d-healey fl studio and cubase. same problem
-
@yall Can you share some MIDI that causes the issue?
-
@d-healey
in fact I play anything in recording mode. so I don't use a midi file. I think the problem may come from the basic samples being imported in SFZ but I don't understand why. they are well converted and the sample maps too and the hr1 installation is going well -
hey @yall did you ever figure this one out? im running into the same issue with a project im working on..
-
@Adam_G Can you reproduce the problem with a sine-wave generator or does it only happen with a sampler?
-
@d-healey said in Note release?:
@Adam_G Can you reproduce the problem with a sine-wave generator or does it only happen with a sampler?
actually this particular project has both a sampler and a sine wave generator playing together though its the sampler note thats not being released it sounds like. could that be whats causing it? they sound so good together.. lol
-
@Adam_G Make a minimal snippet that demonstrates the issue.
-
@d-healey i will try today. it doesnt happen in hise at all, only in my exported project.
-
@Adam_G Does it happen when compiled as a standalone app?
-
@d-healey just tested and it doesnt happen at all when i play with a midi keyboard or a midi player module in a vst or standalone versions.
it only happens when i play a midi loop through my daw with the vst version
-
@Adam_G Does the problem occur when playing the same loop through a different plugin?
What about playing the loop through your plugin with only a sine-wave gen preset, no sampler?
-
@d-healey its not isolated to a specific midi but it does seem to be C and F that it happens with. it doesnt happen with any other plugins and yes it does still happen when i power off the sampler and leave the sine wave generator on. just tested.
-
@Adam_G That's good. Make a new project containing only a sine wave generator and see if it happens with that.
-
@d-healey yes it does still happen in an exported vst with nothing but a sine wave generator. just tested. brand new peoject
-
@Adam_G In that case you need to post the midi loop so we can test
-
@d-healey im happy to share a loop haha but as i said it isnt isolated to the loop. ive tested many that i know work well and theyre all having the same issue. i believe its the sine wave generator at this point.
here is a loop that was playing when the issue occurred:

i believe its the sine wave generator at this point.
So does it happen if you remove the sine wave gen and only have the sampler?
-
@d-healey yes it is now happening with the sine wave generator removed from the original project, sampler only. just tested.
maybe this is something with the most recent master build? @Christoph-Hart

@Adam_G
Either the sampler and sine wave generator are broken in everyone's project,
There's something special in your project
There is something special in the MIDI loop you're testing with.
There's something special in the DAW you're using.
