      Hi,

      I’m new to HISE. I’ve worked with Maize Sampler before but recently switched over to HISE. I have little C++ knowledge but a long designing background.

      I’ve managed to make a basic plugin in HISE but I can’t seem to figure out how to export the plugin.

      When I export it looks like I’m getting an Xcode error. First I see “line 5: xcpretty: command not found” then I see “Xcode-select: error: tool ‘Xcode build’ requires Xcode”

      I have Xcode installed so I’m not sure what’s causing this. I saw an entry in here with someone experiencing the same issue but none of the answers solved this issue for me.

      I also tried using David Hanleys export app but when it says export is finished all that it creates is a .xcodeproj file not a .Vst file.

      Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

            Search the forum for "xcode-select: error" this has come up multiple times before (or search google). I can't remember what the solution is but you basically have to run a command (xcode-select I think) which tells xcode where to look for itself :p

              @d-healey thanks.

              I found :

              Install Xcode (get it from https://appstore.com/mac/apple/xcode) if you don't have it yet.
              Accept the Terms and Conditions.

              Ensure Xcode app is in the /Applications directory (NOT /Users/{user}/Applications).

              Point xcode-select to the Xcode app Developer directory using the following command:

              sudo xcode-select -s /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer

                @Sounddiy Looks like the right answer. Also if you have a beta version of xcode then it will be something like Xcode beta.app instead.
