Protools & Reaper Touch automation "jitter" problem.

When I record "touch" automation from a knob in Protools this what it looks like and this movement is represented on the knob in automation playback.
Moving the knob up and down.
In Reaper its a bit of a mess as well and even worse, sometimes its kind of stuck and other times it records something like this.
This is the result of moving the knob from 0 to 100.
Write Automation seems to work fine.
Other plugins seem to have working touch automation. -
Same problem in Logic with AUv2. Bit better maybe but jagged.
