How to get Impulse Responses from external file

I seem to recall reading about this somewhere on the forum a while back but can't find it now. Is it possible store IRs outside of the compiled plugin in a data file rather than embedding them in the plugin? I have a lot of IRs for a project and I definitely don't want them to be embedded.

I'm using the Expansion system for this.

You could also un-tick the "embed audio files" option and manually place the AudioResoruces.dat file into the user AppData folder
