Which web hosting services?

Hello everyone.

I am planning to build my website. I prefer high traffic capable, fast options of course.

I wonder which hosting services are you using guys?

Also which data storage service are you using for downloadable content (plugins) of your clients?

I've found the host doesn't matter too much as long as you also use a good caching plugin (assuming Wordpress) and a CDN for static content. If you think you're going to get a lot of traffic then probably best to go with dedicated hosting rather than shared, or with a VPS.

For storing/delivering downloads I use Amazon S3.

Interesting, I always thought that AWS (Amazon) is the best choice for fast web hosting. But I think it is not true always.

How much doe it cost for S3 monthly for you?

This is probably better, shows traffic (in and out) in GB alongside cost.

Each sale should more than cover the cost of a download so don't worry too much about S3 prices unless you have some massive libraries you're selling really cheap.

I think using a wordpress website on AWS is like: using a shitty engine of a shitty car inside a Mercedes body :D Wordpress performance can be very limited.

S3 looks not so high cost by the way.

@Natan 10GB isn't enough for some of my products. Do they handle EU VAT? I used Gumroad a while back and Payhip but I hit some limitations with things I wanted to do, might have to investigate them again at some point.
