3D Knob Cinema 4D HISE Tutorial |Modeling |Texturing| Lighting | Animation | Rendering
-
The Series will cover the entire 3D topic of
- Modeling
- Material
- Texturing
- Lighting
- Animation,
- Vertical Image Stitch (Strip Image)
- Import the stitched image into HISE.
As an audio plugins developer, making a 3D stuff is always been a challenging task. This Series of videos will help you to get an idea of how to make a 3D Knob inside Cinema 4D. This is not a super realistic project based tutorial. But this will be a good starting point for fellow developers who want to append 3d stuffs inside their plugins.
If you like the video series do let me know. I will bring more tutorials on GUI like..... Photoshop, After Effects, HitFilm, Lottie Animation, 3D with cinema 4D and Maya etc for FREE (Real FREE. No Patreon)
Till then enjoy the Tutorials

Thank you for the effort, cool tutorials.
Quick tip; You can use "Anistropy" for the top brushed radial metal look. Here is an example (go to 7:00):
-
@orange Yup....Sure :) May be in near future tutorial.. Will cover more advanced topics like "Anisotropic","Phong","GGX", material channels, "Texture Types and Classification", "PBR materials", "Uber material", "Node based material" 3rd party renderer ..etc.

@Rudra-Ghosh Thanks Man

@Rudra-Ghosh Thanks Man!!

@Rudra-Ghosh - nice.
For those of us with less ambitious and demanding 3d requirements there's this:
-
@Lindon Nice link to Knobman3d.
I've noticed that the image quality doesn't look great when scaling however.
Or am I missing something? -
@LeeC - when scaling what?
-
-
@Tania-Ghosh then resize the export...
-
@Lindon Hmmm...I know... :)
-
@Lindon @Tania-Ghosh
I'm talking about the quality of the export when you try and increase the size of the filmstrip within Knobman3d itself... Not Hise
I'll try and post a Knobman example.... -
@Lindon
Ok so heres a not so good looking example of a Knob made in Knobman3d.
Where would you go to export the filmstrip so that the end result is a knob that is around.... let's say 700x700?Size/resolution is important if we want to make plugins that scale nicely on retina screens etc
-
Now from what I can see, you can do it by clicking 'export' and then setting the 'width' and 'height' to your desired dimensions (in this case 700x700), but the visual quality is just
This is for both the preview and the final export.
Take a look...
-
@LeeC It's probably using a low resolution texture map, so resizing it, no matter the software, will make it look gross.
Standard maps are 4k nowadays.
-
@LeeC That's why Blender,C4D, 3DS Max, Maya etc. are used. Not only for VFX or films but also for Audio software and plugins development.

Personally, I have the tools to achieve what I need to achieve thus far - I currently use Blender for anything that requires sophisticated 3d animation magic!
I was merely taking the time to show @Lindon appreciation for the link, check it out & point out a limitation that may hinder anybody else looking to venture down the road. Hopefully this has not been in vain! :winking_face:

Hi,
This is a fantastic first step in creating a video series for newcomers to 3D animation like myself. It will assist a large number of individuals in learning 3D animation quickly and effortlessly.- Modeling
- Material
- Texturing
- Lighting
- Animation
These are the principles of 3D animation, as well as advanced levels. If you begin this video series, you will almost certainly get a positive response from all new students.

Personally, I like your 3D topics. One thing is that I want to start my career as an online cartoon maker. Can you suggest me a better option for perusing my career in this field? I have a little bit of experience in this field. Please advice me on what should I do right now?
