Keyboard parameters won't change

Don't know why but the moment I try to change the "DefaultAppearance" to true, it won't change anything. Instead, just after some seconds, it returns back to true. Same as the other parameters. can anyone help me. hope the link works! Thanks

Did you click apply (or hit F5) after changing the setting?
