Showing values on a graph/scope ?

1.Is it possible to show say compressor gain reduction on a scope or a running graph ?
2.Or can I send a value , say the value of a knob moving into an analyser and it shows the "dc" value when I move the knob?
3. Can the audio waveform be shown rectified ?

i guess something like the plotter but be able to show on interface?

Sorry if I have the terminology wrong , trying to explain as best I can :)
