mac installation problem

hello, i run into a problem when installing on mac osx. first of all. osx Version 10.9.5
Xcode version 5.0
I open project, I load the standalone.ok project it's easy.
I click on save and open in the IDE.
Xcode starts.
I click on build for running.
after that, an error message (command / applications /xcode.app/contents/devlopper/toolchains/xcodedefault .........)
impossible to compile hise from my mac.
the problem come that my mac is too old? or xcode too old?
I offer 2 boxes of chocolate to the one who unlocks it for me :)
