        @universe33 Hi, I have the same problem too. I have loaded the hise master and all the sdk's following D.Healeys tutorial AND i have used the .exe version. Ive tried it on both pc and mac and it doesnt ever let me rename the knob etc. I know its probably really simple answer but i just cant get past the first stage. I'm sure i had it working on another pc with an earlier version of Hise.

        Did you ever figure out the solution?

            @d-healey Yes will do a video asasp David and thanks for the reply and your tutorial videos. Can I just confirm that you can use either the downloaded hise.exe OR the source build version demonstrated by your tutorial when coding?

            I tried to build from source using visual studio 2019 but it threw errors at me so i used the hise.exe instead.

            Thats the only possible thing i could think of.

                  @Tod-Slaughter I uploaded the mp4 video using upload file on here. obviously didn't work. Is there a better way to upload the video i haven't seen? or shall i post to youtube and link it?

                      @d-healey @Tod-Slaughter Here is the video of me using Hise via the exe file. as you can see it doesn't ask to rename the file and I cant see to do much more with it after that besides rescale it. It won't attach to the gain button either. Hope this is shows enough.

                                Copy that and then use File>Import Hise Snippet.

                                Now you have to work out what's different to what you did

                                  @Tod-Slaughter Thanks for taking the time to help me. It still won't let me do anything. i.e look at your code for the sinewave generator or anything else to be honest. Still won't let me rename a button etc either.

                                          @Tod-Slaughter Ok great. So use the interface designer to change all the details. Why doesn't it just rename the knob from the start though? Or do you have to do it this way on your version too? rather than the quick way showed on the tutorials?

                                            @andrew Use the interface designer for everything related to editing the interface. You should build HISE from source, you won't be able to export plugins from HISE is you can't do this. You need to use Visual Studio 2017, it won't work in 2019. You can download it from here - https://developerinsider.co/download-visual-studio-2017-web-installer-iso-community-professional-enterprise/#downloadvisualstudio2017
