    How to export a png sequence for filmstrips? Extremely Trivial Question 😊

      I tried so many ways to make strips but these are the best ones that I've seen so far. (I am not talking about Knobman)

      If you have individual image frames and need to make a single image strip, I suggest Strip Generator from WavesFactory (free);

      If you are using After Effects or Photoshop and need to make a strip directly from After Effects or Photoshop frames, I suggest Sheetah (Name Your Own Price):

        You can also use Knobman to make your knobs/sliders. I use Inkscape which has a clone feature that allows you to create film strips. You can import a png into Inkscape too I believe.

          Thanks guys,

          Really appreciate the suggestions.

          Ended up using https://www.wavesfactory.com/strip-generator/ to convert my folder of PNGs into a strip.
          Handy tool!

          Curious about the other tools too so will check them out later.

            I've made mine in the Illustrator. You create a graphic, then duplicate it and place it to the right of the first. Make the change you need and repeat the process as many times as there are frames. At the end, you just have to make sure that your initial frame has an empty pixel space on the left side of the artboard and the final frame has an empty pixel space to the right. There should be 2px empty space between all frames.
            You could have more than a pixel of empty space on the left and right, as long as the distance between frames is double that.
            Export the artboard as PNG and you're done.

              @gorangrooves Are you sure there isn't an automated way to do that in Illustrator? Like the auto clone/tile tool that Inkscape has. It's not so bad doing it manually for a button with 6 frames but a knob with a 127 frames, no thanks!

                I'm using jknobman and inkscape on mac, but the fact they are not optimised for macos makes them very, very laggy, even on my i7

                Any advice/other soft for mac?

                Can't help pressing F5 in the forum...

                      My workflow is

                      Cinema 4D: To create 3D models and image sequences of the frame animations
                      After Effects: To import image sequences and re-arranging, re-touching the GUI
                      Illustrator & Photoshop: To create GUI element background textures and design vector graphics (I'm importing these textures into Cinema 4D)
                      WavesFactory Strip Generator: Creating an image strip from image sequences

                        How long do you spend making 3D models in Cinema 4D?

                        Just curious how long you are spending on Development, GUI and 3D modelling overall for each plugin on average. You seem to have every angle covered ☺

                          Oh, thanks. The developing & designing process depends on the complexity of the project. For Rule Tec it took almost 3 months and @remarkablex from Ziyamet designed the gui. If you want 3D gui designs like that, you can contact with: http://www.ziyamet.com/ ;)
