Midi Envelope Generator?

Looking to make a graphic envelope that sends midi messages that can be mapped to other parameters via MIDI CC.
Basically there is a detailed Max4Live envelope that works within ableton.
I would like to recreate it as a VST for use in Logic.
I can map parameters to a CC no problem, I would just like to manipulate them in a more flexible manner.
ideally with a GUI with a simple envelope curve and knobs.
any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
