var, reg, local definitions

I am trying to understand the difference between var reg and local variable definitions. In the docs I am in the

Scripting > HISE Javascript Tutorial > Variables section.

In this section there are links to pages for each of the types of variable declarations but they all return 404 page not found.

Can someone please give me a basic definition of each and when to use them? Or point me towards resources that have this info?
