Timer question

Just a quick question regarding the timer: I have an array and a timer, to iterate through the array. When i choose a timer rate of 1 second and hit the button to start the timer, it needs 1 second befor the timer begins to iterate through the array. Is there a workaround to start the iteration without that delay of the timer rate?
