Whats clear though is you are struggling with the basic data types used in programming - the difference between a string, a number and an array for a start - I strongly recommend you go get some basic understanding of these types, and read the documentation carefully - dont read what you want it to say - but read what it is actually telling you - it will tell you data types it expects.

I continue to learn from reading all the forum posts. but actually I did not learn things in the right order. it works for a while and then when there is a real difficulty. again thank you for your time I will send you a postcard from the french riviera :)

@Lindon hello, there seems to be a bug. I compiled your snippet to try something out and I see that the next and prev buttons navigate through the folder fine but do +2 instead of +1. in hise it works perfectly. I haven't updated my version of hise for a while but for something so simple it's weird isn't it?

@Lindon I just realized that "is meta parameter" was activated. the button therefore counted the pulse and the release = x2
