Group XF and Round Robins?
-
Hi All,
Is there a way to use the Group XF feature as well as have multiple Round Robins?
Im working on a project where we are using three samplers, and each sampler contains a style of playing aka texture, and each texture has multiple dynamics and I'm currently using the Group XF feature to create a crossfade between the different dynamics. Essentially I would like to add round robins to each dynamic without having to use a sampler per dynamic.

@Willem-B Well you can have up to 8 XF groups I think. So if you have 2 dynamic layers you could do 4 RRs (you'd have to script the round robin behaviour of course).
Another solution is to spread your RRs across the velocity range, again you'll need to script the RR behaviour. I use this system quite a lot myself.
I have a script on github that handles this (hasn't been updated for a while so might need tweaking).

@d-healey I see so instead of importing your RR's as RR's, you would import them as velocities that span the full velocity range and then script them to match the RR behaviour.
Thanks!

Nope. I would import each RR to its own velocity range. So RR1 would be velocity 0-1, RR2, would be 2-3, RR3 would be 4-5 etc.
So you could have 64 RRs per note.

@d-healey Ahh amazing, thank you!

Not my idea :)
This is about Kontakt but can also be applied to HISE - https://www.orangetreesamples.com/blog/ksp-making-the-most-of-groups
