2nd State of Independent Audio Software Companies Survey
-
We’re running the State of Independent Audio Software survey again this year. It’s for independent companies that build and sell plugins, instruments, sample libraries, DAWs or tools.
Last year 95 plugin companies answered. One result that stood out: among companies with $100K+ in revenue, 71% said prices are falling. Under $20K, only 30% thought so. And the best insight; actual innovation is what drove sales among indies.
New this year: questions on AI, piracy, founder pay and working hours, and lessons from companies that have been selling for 5+ years. The more companies take part, the more useful the benchmark gets for everyone.
The essentials take about 5 minutes, with an optional longer section if you’re up for it. Results are only published in aggregate. Leave your email and you’ll get the report two weeks before it goes public in late January.
