Assign combo box terms to items list of waveform generator?

Can we assign items in the combo box to the items list in the waveform generator or on the filter? For instance, if I place place the terms "sine, triangle, saw, square, etc." in the items list for the combo box can it then be assigned to activate those waveforms or filter slopes when clicked? I'm attempting to make a micro-freak emulation and the option to select filter modes would make or break the project.

Right now I'm stuck with two dropdown box that aren't able to select any options within the filter or waveform generator. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
