Default Values Don't Seem to Work with LAF Buttons

Imagine a screenshot movie showing me setting the default value for a button, going to the Export menu and choosing the common to restore controls to default values, and the button state not changing.

I say "imagine" because I couldn't post the screen movie. First, forum software said pixel count too high (even set to 50% of the native laptop screen size). So I shrank it to a size the forum accepted (illegible), and the forum won't upload it.

@d-healey The fact that this is loop, watching it over and over, doing what it won't for me, is insult upon injury. Thank your your response (seriously), I've narrowed it down to LAF buttons.
