I want Advice on Getting Started with HISE for a Beginner?
-
Hey everyone,
I have gone through some of the tutorials but I am still a bit not sure about the best way to approach my first project. Should I dive right into scripting or focus more on getting comfortable with the sampler and preset creation first??
Also are there any specific resources or tips that really helped you when you were just starting out with HISE?
As well, I found these resources when doing research on this; https://forum.hise.audio/topicmulesoft -interview-ques/1510/i-m-a-complete-beginner & if anyone have any resources, tutorials or personal experiences please share with me, It would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you……. :)

Scripting is a good place to start.
Learn to use the default modules, and how to control scriptnode networks from the interface.Stuff like creating knobs to control filters ect.

@gracebrown @d-healey's Patreon and Youtube channel is probably the best place to practically do things.
Then I would say that it all depends on your first project goal. Would it be an instrument? an effect? Just don't see too big at start. Probably a percussion or samples that are "easy" to handle
Create a bunch of samples, create samplemaps, handle the switching of sample -maps from interface, add FXs to sampler(s), add FX controls on the interface
Then learn how to style your interface, paint routines, custom LookAndFeel, the nex CSS styling... Just go step by step and it'll come faster than expected!
