      Hi Everyone

I have an early 2015 MacBookPro Retina 13inch . I am going to be reformatting it and re installing Mac OS on it. Is there a particular Mac OS version that HISE will build best on for an older MacBook like mine ?

I use a build of HISE (dev, Feb-23) on my iMac (late 2010) running Sierra and on my MacBook Air (late 2017) with Mojave. Both running stable

@Glyn You're welcome! It feels good to encourage people using HISE 😀

              Additionally I can tell:

In HISE on that old iMac, some of the filter modes sound weird (having kind of low fidelity texture throughout or even distorting completely). This misled me to think some are still in development state. and not really of use.

But it turned out: When I compile a project to a plugin and actually use it in my DAW, the filters do sound clean, no noise at all.

EDIT: The MoogLP seems to still have that lo-fi texture when compiled, but I use LadderFourPoleLP instead which sounds clean.

@Frankbeat The MacBook Pro has been formatted now running Mojave. I wondered if you might have any last minute advice for things to be ware of when building HISE? any pointers really appreciated. I am a little but nervous as I have never built HISE before lol :) I will be following D Healey's Youtube video im sure it will all be fine :)

@Glyn Oh yeah, that's what I would have suggested first – watch David's video on that. That will guide you pretty well through this process.
And what's important too (maybe David even says that in the video): Make sure you get the appropriate XCode Version for your machine/system. I'm running Mojave 10.14.6 with XCode 10.3. But it might be a different version for yours. You can read details for each version on the version history archive: https://xcodereleases.com/
