I just found this (thanks youtube recommended) - it came out last month and I'm only 10 mins in so far, but I'm hoping this can help those of us who want to better understand the C++ side of HISE/JUCE.

Update: Okay I'm a bit further in and it's definitely not for beginners, he doesn't really explain anything and just types furiously while jumping between the different files
