Visual Studio 2017 not available and autosampler use
-
Hi I am new here and tried to download vs2017 but it's not available when I tried to get it on the microsoft website under older versions. I can only get vs2019. Where can I get 2017 does anyone know?
Also which autosampling software( eg. samplerobot ) if any is best suited for the multisample naming format that Hise uses so I don't have to rename and import each sample individually into the sampler but can quickly import/ autoassign multisamples and let hise figure out wich sample and note goes were in the keymap? -
Someone kindly posted a link here to download VS2017 from an alternative location - https://forum.hise.audio/topic/1454/visual-studio-2019-ipp-help
If you just need to rename your files then you could use a batch renaming programming. I don't use an auto-sampler, although I played around with sample robot years ago. HISE has a very versatile auto-mapper so you might not even need to rename your samples.

@Matt
For VS2017 You can try this: https://developerinsider.co/download-visual-studio-2017-web-installer-iso-community-professional-enterprise/#downloadvisualstudio2017For autosampler;
In my Mac, I am using Redmatica Autosampler (Mavericks), it does great job. But it doesn't work after Sierra. Because Apple bought it for Main Stage.If you want more up to date software; you can think "Chicken Systems Translator" for sampling.
